Therapy Group for Healing from Problematic Pornography Use
A confidential, short-term therapy group for adults seeking support in addressing problematic pornography use, strengthening self-control, reducing shame, and restoring integrity in their lives and relationships.
Who it’s For
Age-range and gender-segregated; availability of age- and gender-appropriate groups dependent upon interest
Participants must:
Identify pornography use as problematic
Be willing to pursue behavioral change
Be able to participate respectfully in a group format
Participation may require a brief individual screening call
Applicants may be referred out on a case-by-case basis if the clinician does not determine group therapy to be clinically appropriate
Format
Gender-specific therapy group
6-week initial commitment
Weekly 75-minute sessions
Group size: approximately 4-8 participants
After the initial six weeks, participants may be invited to continue in an ongoing group, depending on interest and clinical appropriateness

Building sustainable habits and boundaries
Addressing shame and isolation
Integrating personal values and faith into recovery
Logistics
Location: in-person only at St. Mary’s Parish Uxbridge
Cost: $60 per session, or $300 upfront for the 6 weeks*
Start date TBD based on interest, intended for April or May 2026
Confidentiality
All participants are expected to maintain confidentiality. As with all group therapy, confidentiality from other group members cannot be absolutely guaranteed.
Confidentiality exceptions regarding mandated reporting and safety may apply.
